Dans les usines de granul\u00e9s de bois, il existe un risque de propagation de la d\u00e9flagration des poussi\u00e8res combustibles \u00e0 travers les \u00e9quipements interconnect\u00e9s en raison de la pr\u00e9sence de sources d’inflammation et de la production de poussi\u00e8res combustibles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’isolation de la d\u00e9flagration est la technique permettant d’interrompre la pression et les flammes entre les \u00e9quipements connect\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce rapport et ces fiches d’information sont le r\u00e9sultat d’un partenariat entre la WPAC, le BC Forest Safety Council (BCFSC) et l’universit\u00e9 de Dalhousie dans le cadre d’une initiative visant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer les pratiques de l’industrie des granul\u00e9s de bois en mati\u00e8re d’isolation des \u00e9quipements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kayleigh Rayner Brown, P.Eng., M.A.Sc. expert en s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s et en analyse des risques, directrice d’Obex Risk Ltd, a \u00e9t\u00e9 charg\u00e9e d’analyser l’isolation de la d\u00e9flagration pour des op\u00e9rations plus s\u00fbres et a men\u00e9 le travail avec le conseiller en s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du BCFSC, Bill Laturnus. Le financement du projet a \u00e9t\u00e9 assur\u00e9 par l’Universit\u00e9 Dalhousie, sous la direction de Paul Amyotte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
